Urban Exploration - The Abandoned Leisure Park
We received photos from a traveler and compiled them into a historical summary.
Today we visit a former leisure center. This exploration was actually carried out by mistake—or rather, due to a lack of accurate information.
There are rumors circulating online that this entire site is abandoned. Far from it; that’s "fake news." In reality, only one specific annex is abandoned. The rest of the leisure center is operating at full capacity, notably with a vast park of inflatable attractions. This base, which is connected to an adjacent campsite, is right next door. An "urbex" visit? It felt more like a simple intrusion and a potential disturbance.
In short, this annex primarily consists of an aquatic center. There is a very large swimming pool, a bumpy blue slide, a water slide, and a former shower facility.
When comparing the site to photos taken by others, it's clear that the buildings are being used for storage. Objects move and change positions.
Assuming the information is reliable, the decision to close the aquatic center was made for financial reasons. Running it was reportedly a "money pit," which seems entirely plausible given the scale of the facility.
Despite the fact that I wasn't spotted (I was remarkably discreet, as I had no wish to disturb anyone), the premises do possess a certain undeniable aesthetic.
