Abandoned Castle - The Castle of the Syndrome
We received photos from a traveler and compiled them into a historical summary.
Here is a tour of Syndrome Castle. Located in a very remote corner of the countryside, little known and rarely visited, it is extremely difficult to find information about it, especially since its overall architecture is rather unremarkable.
Formerly owned by the Departmental Education Authority, what is known for certain is that this site has served as a holiday camp since ancient times, at least since 1959. It offers accommodation in large dormitories, a style that has since fallen out of fashion. The site has been abandoned for a long time, and vandalism is significant.
The real estate agency selling it describes it as dating from the 17th century. It was built to commemorate a marriage to the daughter of the local lord.
