Urban Exploration - The Viper Farm

We received photos from a traveler and compiled them into a historical summary.

Here is a visit to an old farm which, although in a state of advanced decay, still possesses a certain aesthetic charm to this day.

Was it a farm, a former manorial estate, an old castle, or an annex to a monastery? Nothing remains on-site to help determine its original purpose. In any case, the architecture points to a very ancient structure.

Due to a lack of information, I almost skipped this place, believing it had been renovated into a guesthouse (gîte). I had completely miscalculated the location, and checking it just to be sure turned out to be a wonderful surprise.

The place is famously occupied by critters. While my memory will quickly fade regarding the anthill that crawled up my leg, special mention goes to the viper that darted right past my feet, and the barn owl nesting in the tower attic (consequently, I didn't go up there).

Although fully accessible, it feels like a place that remains unknown to the rural world. What more could one ask for? It is pure bliss.
